The Angels exhibition is the result of three years of work of Pavlo Gudimov’s research and curator team and is conducted by Ya Gallery Art Center together with Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery.
Angels is the space of dialogue capable of uniting people of different territories, cultures, ideas, convictions and beliefs. It is primarily art, cognition, experiment, bold interpretation, revelation and expansion of limits. It is a new model of a thematic exhibition about phenomena that will inevitably change your perception of the world around you.More
What comes to your mind when you hear about angels?
An angel is one of the most common yet most mysterious images people were excited about in the ancient times and are still excited to this today. On the one hand, we are used to viewing angels as an inherent part of the religious tradition, on the other hand, since Renaissance, their images have become a powerful phenomenon of the secular culture. In the modern globalized world, an angel is extremely popular in mass culture, particularly in advertising, games, cinema, anime and comics. Nevertheless, its role is still to be unveiled.
In the Angels museum exhibition project, we invite you to join us in reflecting about the image of angels, about the content of stories and meanings of symbols contained in the pictures of the supernatural creature with wings that attract the eye and the mind of everyone who has at least once witnessed it.
